UCC23513: Does UCC23513 have DESAT function?

Hi,

Customers want to confirm that if UCC23513 has DESAT function to protect the IGBT.

I found no words mention it in DATASHEET, but maybe the "short-circuit clamping function"? please help us to confirm it.

For reference, I attached the DESAT description of the old part they use. does UCC235131 has the same or similar function?

    Hello Yuan,

    I am the applications engineer responsible for the UCC23513 and I can help answer your question.

    Unfortunately, the UCC23513 does not have DESAT protection like the ACPL-333J. The functionally equivalent TI device would be the ISO5x5x family: www.ti.com/.../description
    These devices have a dedicated pin for DESAT detection.

    If your customer is interested in discrete short-circuit and DESAT detection take a look at this TI reference design: www.ti.com/.../tidue55.pdf
