BQ25120A: Issues with RESET pin

I have a customer currently having some issues with reset functionality.

When MR is pulled low, the RESET signal is asserted.

However, when VIN is present and stable, and MR is pulled low, RESET signal is not asserted.

Can you explain why RESET is not asserted in this case?

Hi Greg,

What is B0 of register 0x07 set to? That needs to be set if you are expecting MR_RESET to happen when VIN is present.

Gautham,

Customer has set B0 set the register value to both 0 and 1. Neither has allowed for device reset when VIN is present.

Greg,

hmmm. can we look at the schematic and a plot of VIN/MR/PMID/RESET when this happens? Also did you make sure watchdog wasn't clearing any bits that were written?
