TLC59401: Thermal Specifications

Questions on TLC59401 thermal impedance and constant output current.

1. Is the " package thermal impedance" the sum of individual impedance values (ie θJA, θJC, etc)?

2. Is the constant output current limited to 80 mA at VCC > 3.6V due to thermal constraints?

Please advise.

    Hi Mark,

    1, Not really, JESD51-7 is a standard test method, which gives the evaluate board layer, size, device package. with the board, the package thermal impedance can be tested.

    2, It is mainly because the internal power MOS that constrains the current.
