LMG3410R070: LMG3410

Part Number: LMG3410R070
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD3138

I have a classic "forward " converter type output rectifier. It cannot be made into 2 ground referenced sync rectifier version.

See the pdf file attached. We are going to use 2 LMG3410.  & there are 3 such pairs.

Each output is 380V @1 amp. Can I use the LMG3410 in the floating condition shown in the pdf?

Of course, I have to have a floating supply,  Sync Pulse coupling etc.

One more thing: in this super high-efficiency circuit, we have to have rectification ON   as one would see if they were self commutating diodes.

GaN does not  have   this & 3rd quad drop is unacceptable(7.6V?)

So can we put in shunt a diode?

Sounds heretic?..how else we will start of rectification without such an approach?

Bear in mind we will have to sense current to derive synchronous rectification timing. FYI: it is a resonant ac-dc converter...so current must start very early in time.

thnx
