I have a classic "forward " converter type output rectifier. It cannot be made into 2 ground referenced sync rectifier version.
See the pdf file attached. We are going to use 2 LMG3410. & there are 3 such pairs.
Each output is 380V @1 amp. Can I use the LMG3410 in the floating condition shown in the pdf?
Of course, I have to have a floating supply, Sync Pulse coupling etc.
One more thing: in this super high-efficiency circuit, we have to have rectification ON as one would see if they were self commutating diodes.
GaN does not have this & 3rd quad drop is unacceptable(7.6V?)
So can we put in shunt a diode?
Sounds heretic?..how else we will start of rectification without such an approach?
Bear in mind we will have to sense current to derive synchronous rectification timing. FYI: it is a resonant ac-dc converter...so current must start very early in time.
