BQ40Z50-R2: which steps are necessary to enter the stand alone mode

Dear TI Team,

I have BQ40z50emv updated to -R3 Firmware.

Currently design BMS for 3s1s configuration. 600mAh 13450 Cells

With BQ-Studio I can turn on the charge and discharger FETs, the balancing function was not tested yet.

Which configuration steps are necessary to get BQ40z50 into the Stand-alone mode.

Hi Mike,
What do you mean stand alone mode. The device is already stand alone and does not require a host to function.

To get the device fully functional and cell balancing active, pls follow the app note listed below:

www.ti.com/.../slua777

though written for a different gauge, method is applicable to this.
