BQ35100: How to read SOH value using BQ35100

I am using BQ35100 for SOH, but I am getting an only battery voltage value but not getting SOH, current, temperature values.

For voltage, I am simply sending 08/09 commands through I2C, I am using Arduino IDE.

hi Bhavit,

What command are you using to read SOH?Did you properly configure the gauge for SOH mode? Pls review the TRM properly for the differnt commands needed to access the gauge in the different mode of operation. Also, i would strongly advice you get and evm and ev2300 to communicate with gauge via your computer so you ensure you have a proper reference for any action you are trying to do with the arduino

I am using 2E/2F command for SOH, I am using bq35100 over i2c protocol, is there any command is there for SOH mode?

GMSEL1:0 has to be set to 1:0 for SOH mode. Did you do that?

Ok, Thanks Now I have set EOS mode successfully because my battery cell is LiSOCl2, How to measure Battery %?

you have to have the correct chem id for your cell programmed on the gauge if not you will be unable to measure SOH. The gauge measures SOC based on resistance correlation so the chem id on the gauge has to be the exact one for your cell. If the chem id doesn't exit, then you will have to just rely on the EOS algorithm.

I am using SAFT LS14500 (LISOCL2) 2600 mah battery and my chem id is not mention in bqstudio so how can i get chem id is it possible to generate for this cell?

The cells will have to be sent to TI for characterisation

With default chemistry id I am getting SOH_ERR, OCV_ERR, SOH_MERIT flag raised, is it because I am not using specific chemistry id for my cell?
