BQ34Z100-G1: About chemical ID

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM

My product is ready to match the chemical ID. There are some doubts at the moment:
  1. What is the matching process for chemical ID? The data is first charged to saturation, waiting for vacant for 2 hours, discharged to the lowest voltage at 0.1 C, and then vacant for 5 hours, where the entire process data needs to be recorded?
  2. Can I record the discharge first and then record the charging data? If so, what should I do?
  3. Is it WATCH to record data with BQstudio?
4, using BQstudio to record the data, how to upload to TI official ID matching?

  • Hi XiuFeng,

The matching process and steps are described in the pdf found on this tool page: http://www.ti.com/tool/gpcchem

The logs can be taken separately, but will need to be stitched together with incrementing timestamps per the guide linked agove.

Simply use the logging feature of bqStudio, not watch. The feature is found on the registers window.

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
  • 1、What do you mean by stitching? Copy the charged data (including vacant 2 hours of data) to the discharge data (including vacant 5 hours of data)?
2、The PDF mentions that it discharges at a rate of C/10. If I am 16ah, can I discharge at a current of 1.5A?。
3、Is NumCellSeries = 2 in the Config.txt File file fixed or the number of battery in series?
4、Can I submit the .log file saved by BQstudio directly to match the chemical ID?
  • Hi XiuFeng,

    1. Yes, 1 log file must be submitted per the instructions of the gpcchem tool.
    2. Please ensure the discharge rate is C/10 or greater. In this case, 1.6 A or slightly higher.
    3. From the log of bqStudio, the voltage will be the pack voltage. If two cells in series are used, set NumCellSeries = 2 in the Config.txt file. A single cell may be utilized for the chemID match even if the final product will utilize more than 1 cell in series.
    4. Modify the .log file from bqStudio as described in the gpcchem tool documentation. The key points here will be the name of the file. The column numbers will also need to be set in the config.txt file

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
  • Hello, I uploaded the charge and discharge data as required, but the report said that I did not discharge for more than 5 hours, in fact I spent 10 hours. This is my data::

  • Hi XiuFeng,

Please change the timestamp column to use integers in seconds

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
