BQ27421-G1: shutdown mode

hello,

Our customer is reviewing if bq27421-G1 turns into Shutdown mode in order to system power consumption minimize.

Is this the effective way to keep accurate Gauging in low power operation. Is my understanding correct all of the leaning data is initialized in such use case and it results from inaccurate gauging in the end.

Hi Toshiro,
If the customer is expecting to use the gauge by shutting it down, in low power mode, it means the host will have to load the gauges saved parameters in its non-volatile memory on the gauge. Essentially re-initializing the gauge. I wouldn't recommend doing this.
