LP87524J-Q1: power sequence controlling

Part Number: LP87524J-Q1

Hi Team,

My customer is interested in 4 channel automotive PMIC solution. We see LP87524J -Q1 is a potential candidate, but customer has a question on PMIC controlling.

LP87524J -Q1 is a 4 channel output PMIC, but it has 3 EN pins only. If my customer does not use I2C to control the PMIC, how can they control the 4th PMIC output?

Best regards,

Andy Chu

  • Hi Andy,

Likely two regulators would have to share an ENx pin, or the fourth regulator would require I2C instructions to enable.

For the LP87524J-Q1, the register map indicates all regulators are assigned to EN1 by default (7.6.1.2-5). I2C instructions would still be required to assign different ENx pins to the regulators.

Looping in the product expert to confirm.

    Best Regards,
    Rick S.
