BQSTUDIO: BQ34G100-G1 (Data Flash and Importing GG.CSV file)

Part Number: BQSTUDIO

I seem to have an issue with writing to data flash or importing my golden image file (GG.CSV) with bqStudio (V1.3.86.3).

I've been trying to get help from TI but they have been silent to my pleas for help.

My company's production is halted because of TI and I can't seem to find anyone at TI that cares about their software, hardware, or lack of support!

Anybody else know how to get TI support these days?

Jeff.

  • Hi Jeffrey,

I'm sorry you're having difficulty reaching someone at TI. It looks like your post came in after 6:00 pm on Thursday. We had a much-needed holiday on Friday, followed by the weekend. It's now Easter Monday, but we're here to assist.

It appears from the post there is difficulty in writing to data flash or importing your gg.csv file.

Is there another thread with more information you can link to?

If you're having trouble writing to the device, with a fresh evm, please follow the steps in the quick-start guide to setup your toolchain and environment. At the end of the quickstart guide you should be able to communicate with the gauge. www.ti.com/.../sluubv2

From there, in bqStudio, click on 'data memory' and then 'import'. Select your gg.csv file. Then, click 'write all'. Wait a few seconds, then click 'read all' to ensure the values were imported to the gauge.

If after these steps the issue still persists, please provide information about your setup, wiring, firmware version, gg.csv file, screenshots of the failure, description of the failure, etc... so we may be able to assist. For example, if the error presents during the steps of the quick-start guide, between which steps does the error present? What is the mode of failure?

    Sincerely,
    Bryan Kahler
