First, Could you please let me know about the device behavior at output short condition?


Will the device switching frequency become 50kHz at Vo>-1V ? (from the datasheet Functional Block Diagram)
What is Vbe in the datasheet Functional Block Diagram?

I am not sure where are you probing the device to get the switching signal in the waveform attached earlier. Can you please explain to me how are you probing the device and under which conditions exactly?
We do not usually have the open-short test but I will check and get back to you on this.
Finally, the device has no short circuit protection while running. Upon starting up, if very low impedance is present at the output, the device should not start though.

This block is forcing the device to operate at 50kHz frequency under the condition Vo > -1. Vbe is 0.7V.
