Compiler/TPS74401: TPS74401

Part Number: TPS74401

Tool/software: TI C/C++ Compiler

Dear Sirs, good afternoon!

We got the circuit TPS74401 with die (crystal) TPS742 indeed. Why is there die TPS742 with another partnumber from the circuit marking TPS74401?

Is this item rejected or it's within standard limits?

We are looking forward to your answer so much as soon as possible.

SIncerely,

Olesya

  • Dear Sirs,

    the full name of circuit is - TPS74401MRGWREP – 58 pcs and TPS74401RGWT - 13 pcs.

They both have die TPS742. Is it defect or within standard limits? What is the reason of crystals (dies) with different markings from the marking of devices?

    SIncerely,
    Olesya
  • Hi Olesya,

The internal markings on the die are used as internal references only. They do not always correlate to the external device markings. Parts shipped with the external topside markings correlating to TPS74401RGWT (TPS74401) and TPS74401MRGWREP (TPS74401EP) will be designed, tested, and characterized to their corresponding datasheets.

    Very Respectfully,
    Ryan
  • Dear Ryan, good afternoon!

How many time will tests take? Will you send us results of testings of these two items? Do you confirm that these two items with different dies are not rejected devices and they are legal?

We are looking forward to your answer so much as soon as possible.

    Sincerely,
    Olesya
