The BQ76930 VC5X pin breakdown, what are causes for this pin?

    If you are seeing damage on the VC5X pin, make sure that the Abs max parameters (see Table 8.1 of the datasheet) are not being violated. Also refer to Figure 13 of the datasheet to verify the proper connections and components for this pin. You may also want to refer to one of the reference designs available that use this device - here is one example: www.ti.com/.../TIDA-00449
