Customer is using TPS22967 and our maxiam current is defined at 4A. what will it happen when customer loading is 8A ?
they had tested 8A on load switch and we still has output normally. What is the maxiam current on TPS22967 which will cause it damage ?

What is the duration and how often will the device be stressed at 8A? If the load current is above the absolute maximum ratings of the device, we cannot guarantee that the device will not be damaged overtime. Even if the device works at 8A, it could still degrade the device overtime.
Would the TPS22990 work instead? This device can go up to 10A.
