TPS2421-2: Current consumption

Hi,

In datasheet table, VIN Bias current at /EN=0 is typ 3.9mA.

Does it means that TPS2421-2 consume the 3.9mA current during operation?

Customer needs the device which has total current consumption below 100uA.

Could you recommend proper device?

Condition is as below.

input voltage: 4V~9V

Current: 2A

operating current consumption: below 100uA

short protection is mandatory.

Customer evaluated TPS22810 but when it is under output short during long time, device is damaged.

Hi David,

The parts with short circuit protection and lowest Quiescent Current are TPS2595xx and TPS25200.
Can you check if the Iq of these parts is okay with customer ?

Hi Praveen,

Quiescent current has to be below 100uA so TPS2595 is not proper.
Input range is 4V~9V so TPS25200 is not proper.
If you have other solution, please let me know.
