LM25011: SW pin Maximum Rating MIn value

Part Number: LM25011

I would like to know SW pin Maximum Rating min  value.

On datasheet, min value is -1.5V (steady state). However I think short pulse is over -1.5V. I observed about -6V undershoot on EVM.

Please let me know the Maximum rating min value for short period.

  • Sasaki-san,

Are you using the tip-and-barrel method to measure SW? I have asked the team and we will get back to you by Monday.

  • Hello,

I also measure that the SW node goes to about -3V during normal operation on the EVM. Since this spike is a transient of less than 10ns, it should be okay. The danger from an excessive negative voltage on the SW node is that a parasitic device inside the IC may turn on and cause damage. Typically a negative spike of a few volts should be OK if it lasts for only 10s of ns. However, this is not a datasheet specification.
