LM3550: Need of Cout at Vout

Hi,

Can i know what is the functionality of Cout at Vout?

What will happen If Cout is not connected to Vout, will it cause any physical damage?

Hi Menaka,
You need to connect a cap at the output pin to establish the voltage loop.

Hi Sean,

Can i know what will happen if I reduce the Cout value from 2.2uF to 0.1uF and if I increase it to 10uF.

Hi Menaka,
the low value will lead wide bandwidth, it may cause unstable. The large value is ok.
