LM74670-Q1: Low source impedance

Part Number: LM74670-Q1

Hi,

It is mentioned in the datasheet of LM74670-Q1 that a low impedance power supply is required that allows current sinking. Can you please clarify what is the maximum source impedance the IC can function without problems.

Also, I have not received any update on my gate output driver thread where a time of 2-3 weeks was asked to rectify the problem and so the thread was closed. It would be helpful if you could look into that as well.

Thanking you

Regards,

Kanishk

  • Hello Kanisshk,

The sinking current capability of power supply is required to enable reverse current detection by LM74670-Q1. This device turns off the MOSFET when drop across MOSFET goes below -20mV . The power supply should be able to sink current to create a voltage drop of -20mV (Anode - Cathode) across the MOSFET.

We will also look into your other query.
