Hi Sir,

My customer is planning to use UC2843 with below input/output voltage.

Topology: Isolation PSR topology with 3 output.

Vin:30V~150V

Vout1:13.8V/0.3A

Vout1:13.8V/0.25A

They are hoping to build a simulation environment to make sure their design is ok.

May I have your help to build a TINA simulation environment or Webench simulation?

Hi Patrick,

WEBENCH does not support electrical simulation for this device. However, I do see a transient model under the Tools and Software section on the UC2843 product page. Not sure if those will work for your requirement so requesting some help from modeling team here to confirm.

Hi Patrik,

The UC2843 unencrypted SPICE model is available on the website which can be used for TINA-TI simulations.

You can watch this (Importing SPICE models into TINA-TI(TM) simulator) video from the short Video Training Series.

This may help you in creating TINA simulation environment.

HI Vivek,

Customer build a TINA simulation circuit, but the simulation result is not as what they want.

They wish to see a steady 13.8V output, but they output voltage toggled between 9V~10V, could you help to advise what portion should modify?

Vin:30V~150V

Vout1:13.8V/0.3A

Vout2:13.8V/0.3A

Hi Patrick,

The model is regulating around desired 13.8V with ~0.3A current after removing Zener and TL431 at VOUT1 node.

TL431 and resistor divider network at VOUT1 is forcing VOUT1 to regulate at 10V and that is the reason VOUT1 and VOUT2 settled around 9-10V in simulation.

As of now, I do not see any issue in the model. PFA simulation results and Tsc file below and let me know if you have any suggestions and questions on this.

Hi Patrick,

I missed to mention a change in schematic that was made to get same VOUT1 and VOUT2.

I have added 10ohm resistance at VOUT1 that was present in series with Diode in VOUT2 network. Without these VOUT1 was settling to higher value (~30V).
