BQ78350-R1: Need of EV2400 for TIDA-00792 , required or not? Can TIDA-00792 work independently or not?

78350 is having capability to drive bq76940 chip using i2c bus? How about balancing algorithm, is it in built in 78350 and how about protections?

Yes, the BQ78350 controls the BQ76940 using the I2C bus. The BQ78350 has a balancing algorithm built in and many protection features.

All of these features are described in detail in the BQ78350-R1 Technical Reference Manual: www.ti.com/.../sluubd3d.pdf
