Dear friend

I use bq2012 in my project (NIMH 6S1P), By EV2300, I write the RST register (39h) content (00). But the LMD did not reset to PFC. I have to disconnect the cell to reset the LMD.

when we produced the same product in 2018, I remember it can soft reset the LMD. if there are different version for bq2012 ?

Did you write the rst register contents to 80h from 00h as per the data sheet? Did you perhaps wrong, write a wrong vaue to the MSB of the RST register? The DS says "Setting any bit other than the most-significant bit of the RST register is not allowed, and results in improper operation of the bq2012."
