BQ35100: FW update

Part Number: BQ35100
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: EV2400, BQSTUDIO

Hi Team,

There are some FW update questions. please kindly help.

  1. Do we need input default FW in BQ35100 after mounting on board?
  2. Could we Calibration the non-FW board firstly, and then burn the Calibration FW into BQ35100 after?
  3. If the default FW is need, now we use BQ studio and EV2400 to burn the FW. Any other way to burn the FW?

Thanks

  • Hi Daniel
    The default firmware is below:
    www.ti.com/.../sluc623

    - If the firmware that comes on your chip isn't the latest firmware version, then you need to program the default firmware.
-yes, you need to perform calibration, configure the chip with your settings and then extract a golden file which will be used to program all your devices.
    - You to the programming tab of bqstudio, browse to where saved the firmware you downloaded from the link above and then hit the program button. After programming is done, you hit the execute firmware

    thanks
