TPS659037: About LPK_TIME setting

Part Number: TPS659037

Hi,

Customer changed the LPK_TIME register from 3h (12sec) to 0h (6sec).
They were able to change register settings.
However, it was not shortened by 6 sec.
(Customer measures from the fall of the PWRON signal to the fall of the RESET_OUT signal.)

Please advise about the cause that can not be shortened according to the register setting.

Best Regards,
Yusuke
  • Yusuke-san,

Hi, thanks for reaching out through E2E.

This register field "LPK_TIME" has a default reset value of 3h. This is shown in the 4th column of the table you showed above. This means that you can change the value, but it will reset to 3h any time the device is reset.

Were you able to read these bits before applying the long press? Were they still set at 0h? Also, were you able to measure or capture a scope shot of how long the time interval was between PWRON and RESET_OUT? Is it still 12ms or something in between?

    Thanks,
    Nastasha
  • Nastasha-san,

    Thank you for your support.
I will investigate the reset operation.
I did not get the waveform.
Let me check and I will get back to you.

    Best Regards,
    Yusuke
