LMZ31710: AGND and DGND

Datasheet says all AGND are not connected so externally it should be connected to AGND plane. is AGND and GND connected internally? or should a connect AGND to GND plane externally using ferrite bead.

Hi Ajay,

Yes; as stated in the datasheet, under Pin Functions, AGND and PGND are connected internal to the device.

No; it is recommended to keep them separated on the customer PCB. If your board has AGND and PGND combined you may experience some unwanted noise and regulation tolerance.

Hi Alejandro,

Thanks for prompt reply. In datasheet in could not find where it is stated that " AGND and PGND are connected internal to the device".

From the image provided you are not up to date with the datasheet. The latest revised datasheet does provide the information. Here is the link to the section in the datasheet in which I was referring to.
