UCC28950: What are pulse starting point for OUTE and OUTF?

Hello E2E,

Our customer is designing new power circuit using the UCC28950.

They have questions.

What pulses do OUTE and OUTF output pulses based on?
Please let me know the reference source of OUTE and OUTF.

Is it possible to set the order of OUTE and OUTF output?

Regards,
ACGUY
  • Hello ACGUY

OUTE and OUTF are based on the OUTA, OUTB, OUTC and OUTD pulses and the timing of OUTE and OUTF is controlled to achieve the correct operation of the Synchronous Rectifiers. It is not possible to adjust them although the DELEF and ADELEF functions of the controller allow you to adjust the dead times of the SRs to achieve minimum body diode conduction times and so improve (slightly) the conversion efficiency.

OUTF = OUTA + OUTD and OUTE = OUTC + OUTB (boolean OR function) as shown in Fig 31 of the DS

    Regards
