LM5146-Q1: low frequency operation below datasheet spec

Part Number: LM5146-Q1

Hello Team,

What is the minimum frequency at which LM5146-Q1 can be operated?

Is it recommended to use a resistor greater than 100kohm to reduce frequency below 100kHz?

Apart from reducing switching frequency, operating in diode emulation mode and supplying VCC from buck output, what else can be done to reduce no-load current of the design?

Regards,

Mahendra

  • Hello Mahendra,

You will want to also verify that you maximize or eliminate any resistance that will load the input. This includes a resistor divider from VIN to EN/UVLO to Ground. If possible, you can tie EN directly to VIN to eliminate this current path.

Also, the minimum switching frequency is 100kHz.

Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

    Best Regards,
    Katelyn
