We are trying to use the bq26100 Evaluation Software v1.1.2 with the EV2300. We successfully installed the bq26100 software "sluc074a BQ26100 Evaluation software.zip", then "EV2300a_Device_Driver_Installer_Multilanguage.exe" and then "EV2400_Support_Components_20110524.exe". After starting the software we have no USB error, the software starts properly, without any error message.
Now the problem is: we are trying to read the ROM CMD by pressing the "Read ID" button. The software freezes for about 15sec and then outputs only 0s. If we try to read the Read EEPROM memory by pressing "Read EEPROM" button, we get error message "CRC did not match for Read EEPROM Command and Address." and outputs all 0x00. If we try to read STATUS memory by pressing "Read Status" we get message "Read STATUS ERROR. CRC did not match." and no change in appropriate fields in software are made. The devices are brand new and are not inserted in any environment. We connect them directly to the EV2300 using the HDQ connector (BQ26100->PWR pin to VCC, BQ26100->SDQ pin to HDQ, BQ26100->VSS pins to GND, VOUT of EV2300 is not used). If we try our programmer, the devices are read without any errors. We need to get your tool working, because we want to use it for cross-reference. We tested it on Win10 and WinXP+SP3, but with the same error results.
