LMR16006Y-Q1: LMR16006Y-Q1 Minimum ON Time for 3.3V/5V Output

Part Number: LMR16006Y-Q1

Hi team,

LMR16006Y-Q1 min on time is 80ns, when the output is 3.3V/5V, how to make sure this can be done with 40V input voltage?

If not, when the output is 3.3V/5V, what is the max input voltage which can be supported?

Thank you

B.R.

  • Hello Jack,

We recommend avoiding condition that require minimum on time operation. For 3.3 V output and 40 V input, assuming 110 ns as worst case on-time (80 ns typical), switching frequency would have to be less than 750 kHz. This can be calculated using fsw=Vout/(Vin*min on-time). I therefore recommend using the X version of this part, LMR16006X, with frequency set to 700 kHz.
