According TMR BQ27542-G1 (SLUUB65A May 2015–Revised May 2016) the FW_Version (part 15.1.1.3) for bq27542-G1 shall be 0x0900. We read the value 0x0201. Is it a newer version? What’s the difference? Is this number expect to change in the future?

According TMR BQ27542-G1 (SLUUB65A May 2015–Revised May 2016) the HW_Version (part 15.1.1.4) for bq27542-G1 shall be 0x542. We read the value 0x00B9. Is it a newer version? What’s the difference? Is this number expect to change in the future?

Can you let me know if you are using the EV2400 or some different box? Also is this a recent EVM?

We are using the latest bq studio. V1.3.54.1. It‘s a customer design. Rest of the register make sens.

Hi Christian,
First and foremost, you need to update bqstudio to the latest which is v1.3.86.3

Secondly for the first question, the correct version is 0201. The TRM is wrong.

For the second question, B9 is the correct hardware version. TRM is also wrong
The command "device type" is what returns 542
