BQ27750EVM-837: Discharge/Charge problem with bq27gdk000evm - problem is still there

Part Number: BQ27750EVM-837

Hi all, this post is just a repost of https://e2e.ti.com/support/power-management/f/196/t/799655 . Because the current state of that post is "Resolved", but actually not. I don't know why that one is marked as "Resolved". In order to avoid the problem in that post being kept unsolved forever. I repost all the content of that post here and waiting for your help sincerely.

There is problem content:

I am using bq27750EVM-837 to monitor my battery behavior. I also use bq27gdk000evm to speed up building my experiment.

I meet a problem that after I setup the hardware connection and set all the parameters I need to gauge data memory, I am not able to start the discharging procedure from bqstudio by clicking start button under GDK tab. It gives me an error message. I am sure I have enable the FET.

Could you give some advise?

I attach the screenshots of register contents, discharge information and error message.

Following Onyx's advise, I press the black reset buttons for the two uC on the board and cycle power to the board. After ensuring both GDK and the gauge are already turned on, I try to discharge the battery by 100mA, 500mA, 1000mA, 1500mA and 1900mA constant current. All of them fail with the same error message as seen pictorially:

To provide more information, the voltage between TP1 (1P) and TP5 (1N) is 4129 mV. I measure the voltage between TP2 (Charger+/Load+) and TP6 (Charger-/Load-) as well:

- During both charge and discharge FET are on, the voltage is around 593 mV;

- During both FETs are off, the voltage is around 502 mV.

I don't know if this information is useful to solve my current problem. If any other information you want to know, just tell me.

Thank you,

Wenlong
