Hi everyone

I designed a flyback converter with webench.

I have some transformer cores but I don't know what their core material are. how can I recognize what are the core material of them?

Hi Zahra,

Thank you for designing with the LM5022. Most core has marks printed on its surface, and you may check the core vendor about the material. If you cannot find it, I would recommend you to contact the vendor for samples of known core material.

Hi Zahra,

I don't know how accurate such experiment can identify a core. AL can easily vary by 10%. The best and safest approach is to ask magnetics vendors for samples of a known material.
