UCC28722: Need +15V/1A Non-Isolated AC/DC Converter for Metering applications

Hi,

We are looking for +15V/1A Non-isolated AC/DC power supply. Using Webench I am not able to get non-isolated designs(No transformer used). Can you please help us with it. Below are our requirements:

  • Input - 85V(min) to 440(max) AC
  • Frequency of AC input - 50Hz
  • Output(Non-Isolated) - 15V, 0.8A to1A 
  • Application - Metering

Also, We are using PMP10833 15Vout, 1Aout, AC-DC Buck Converter Reference Design for our application. Below is the link for the same:

For metering we will be taking Line(Phase) of the input AC as a reference ground. It seems to be not possible here as bridge rectifier is used. So please let us know how could we use the power supply for metering applications ? or can we use a simple diode + cap for AC-DC conversion instead of the bridge rectifier ? 

Or please suggest us alternate using UCC28722

    Can you clarify what you say "For metering we will be taking Line(Phase) of the input AC as a reference ground"? Does your design have a bridge rectifier? Can you draw to show where is your reference ground and how the converter to connect to output and input?

    If your application needs a reference point other than the bridge rectifier negative terminal, you may need to have an isolated output. I am not clear what you need, so please draw to show what is your AC input, where is your bridge rectifier, where is your output(s) so to help clarify your need and help to decide what to do from our suggestins.
