Hi Team,
Customer used BQ24073. It is normal when charging with external USB power supply, but can't charge with solar panels. And he can recharge it by plugging it in again.
In the case of solar power supply, the system will not be able to continue charging during the process of solar Power-down (evening) and Powered again (the next morning). This problem can be reproduced continuously.
- Through testing, the solar output voltage is 5V, and battery voltage is also normal. But it can't charge by solar energy. Charging indicator is not light and battery power is decreasing (test voltage).
- If the USB power plug is unplugged and then plugged in again, and continue to charge the battery through the solar energy, then the charging indicator is in a normal state.
It can maintain charge and discharge management without using solar energy and normal power supply;
The customer added an LMR16006 between the BQ24073 and the solar panel. The output is stable at 5V. If restart the device through 5V power apply , it will only work well a day. And it need to restart again the next day.
