LM5122: does soft start capacitor Css has limitation?

Hi Team,

May i have your help to know that is there capacitance limitation for SS pin of LM5122? my customer would like to use the cap up to 22uF.

    Hi Henry,

    The answer is yes if your input voltage applied to the circuit is less than the output regulation voltage. You can set as large as possible the SS capacitor. Just note that the SS source current can be as low as 7uA, so your capacitor leakage should be smaller than that.

    If you input voltage can be higher than the output voltage setting point, we would not recommend greater than 100pF capacitor, or you may see the high side FET may not turn on for bypassing, but the body diode conducts.
