Just some feedback for future revisions. It would be great if this chip could do Buck and Boost on the VIN_DC side. The true MPPT functions is fantastic for eeking out power but there is limited selection in compatible solar panels. For our space limited application we have mitigated that by using 2 low voltage panels (SM141K04L) however the requirement for VBAT_OV > VIN_DC is really limiting.
IXYS have just released their Gen 3 IXOLAR High Efficiency SolarBIT & SolarMD and most of these panels have a V max above a standard 3.6v lithium.
