You use BZX84C12T (Diode, Zener, 12-V, 350mW) at Figure 31 (8 V to 12 V Input, 3.3 V to 5.0 V at 2.5-A Output).

Could you please let us know the recommended parts at “24V Input 5.0V Output at TBD output current”?

Is Zener diode of 24V version necessary for VIN=24V?

 

I understand that Zener voltage is 12V even if VIN = 24V.

Because, VIN of Figure31 is “from 8V to 16V” but Zener voltage is 12V.

Is my understanding correct?
