Hello,

I am trying to make a DC-DC converter with the following specifications:

Vin=30V,Vout=80V

Iout=20mA

Which of the Ics would be better for me to use in this case?

TPS40210,LM3478,LM3488,LM5155,LM5122.

And what is the difference with TPS40210 and TPS40210Q1

Hi Raghav,

Thank you for posting. The TPS40210 and TPS40210-Q1 are basically the same design, and the -Q1 version is for automotive qualified, which passed AEC-Q100 qualification. If you are not targeting the automotive applications, you just need to use the TPS40210.

Adding to the question, I have Used the IC LM-5155 to design (As it gave me a higher efficiency for the same) with the help of Webench, and exported to TINA. But the problem was that,after simulation the output didn't remain stable at 80V volt output, but started decreasing to 30V, and again increased back to 80V, and this pattern is repeating periodically. I think it is due to the complete discharge of inductor, but wasn't able to debug this. A help would be really appreciated. Thanks
