BQ24725A: SI test Fail with HIDRV & LODRV pin number

Part Number: BQ24725A

Follow as picture,I tested the U40 and U41 MOSFET G&S found that the rising and falling edges are not monotonous, please give the solution.

  • Hi,

Can you please give me some more information about this test? What are the test setup and test conditions, and which signal is shown in your waveform (for example, PHASE, HIDRV, LODRV, etc.)?

    Best regards,
    Angelo
  • Hi

    Test conditions:

    1、Oscilloscope:TEK MDO3014

    2、Passive probe: TPP0250

    3、Test Signal LODRV

  • Hi,

Thanks for that information. For reference, the waveform below shows the LODRV and PH signals that I'm seeing on an EVM during fast charge.

A few more questions to try and determine what's causing your LODRV to ring:

    1) Can you take a waveform showing PH, HIDRV, and LODRV? Please also zoom in on the ringing.

    2) Does your circuit charge the battery and work correctly, apart from the ringing LODRV waveform?

    3) Please describe your test conditions in as much detail as possible so I can try to duplicate this on an EVM. For example, the input voltage, battery voltage, and register settings would all be helpful information.

    Best regards,

    Angelo

  • Hi

    input voltage :20V

    battery voltage:4S1P cell Package

I used the HIDRV waveform minus the PHASE waveform to get the above waveform, and there is a step problem on the rising edge of the waveform.

  • Hi Weijie,

Thanks for that information. However, I'd still like further details on the following questions:

    1) Is it possible for you to take a waveform showing PH, HIDRV, and LODRV, as well as another waveform that zooms in on the ringing?
    2) Does your circuit charge the battery and work correctly apart from the ringing LODRV waveform?
    3) What are your register settings?

    Best regards,
    Angelo
  • Hi Weijie,

We haven't heard back from you. We are assuming you were able to resolve your issue. If not, just post a reply below or create a new thread if the thread has locked due to time-out.
