BQ34Z100-G1: understanding Chg Current Threshold

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1

Hi everyone,

I'm trying to understand how the Chg Current Threshold works.

I'm having this issue:
also setting it at the max value of 2000 on a battery pack that already performed the learning cycle, after a couple of days of battery incativity the remaining capacity is increased.
I've performed the offset calibration with the battery management studio and the BQz100 measure corrctly 0mA of current.
How can I fix this?
I'm using a custom PCB

Thanks Roberto
  • Chg current threshold is the value of current at which the gauge considers the battery to be in chg mode. Effectively if Flags(DSG)=0 and current > chg current threshold, the gauge considers the battery to be in chg mode.
Remcap is expected to resimulate after every 5 hours in relaxation. So what you are seeing is normal.
