Hi,

My customer is asking that if we can short the MOS1 and remove the MOS3 if only operate in boost mode

Can you help to comment if this is workable?

Thanks for reach out with your question.
It is not recommended to operate the LM34936 without the buck leg MOSFETs. It is better to use a dedicated boost like the LM5122. If you have more questions feel free to contact me directly.
