I have a question about failure mode of TPS25982.

If internal FET is broken, what does this device operate?

Thanks for reaching out!. Can you please share your system requirement details and the end-equipment information.
The internal FET (or any semiconductor device) fails in short. In such a case, we will lose the device protection function.
