BQ40Z80: Debug problem

Part Number: BQ40Z80
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO

Dear all:

I'm a WT agent.A customer is using BQ40Z80 chip. At present, when using TI upper computer for parameter configuration, the following problems occur. Please help to solve them

1, After setting the temperature protection parameters, the CHG and DSG pins cannot be turned on, so the charging/discharging MOS cannot be turned on for charging and discharging. The configured parameters are shown in the attachment "1.gg.csv", the original file is "Factory settings_originals.csv"

2, When setting some parameters, the following picture will be prompted with red font information. Please help confirm whether the feedback of this problem will be caused in "1.gg.csv"

3,  The .gg file after loading configuration failed and configuration parameters cannot be modified, you can only modify parameters by directly guiding the.srec file. Why?

The latest version of firmware used by customers, Please help to solve the above three questions

Thank  you!

  • This df has a clear case of corruption in the 2867.1.gg file that you sent me. I would suggest first programming the cell config and then the protections. After this you can configure the GPIO and gauging thresholds. Also there are min and max limits to df parameters. These are mentioned in the TRM, please look them up and program them within thresholds. That will prevent the write error indicated in the bottom of bqstudio.
