Hi,

My customer is using TPS40170-Q1 for display in car panel, but found the voltage ripple is abnormal, I have uploaded the schematic and layout files. Could you please help us on this issue? Thanks.

Hi Chen,

It looks like the output seems normal to me. Are you worried about the spikes?
Sometime this artifact is due to measurement method of the output ripple.

One way to reduce this is to use a post filter like a ferrite bead or choose capacitor that has the self resonant frequency at the desired spikes frequency that needs to be filtered.
