BQ34110: Accuracy for Lead Acid Batteries

Part Number: BQ34110

Hi Team,

I have an urgent inquiry from customer on the accuracy of our bq34110 in gauging for VRLA batteries. They want to understand how accurate it is not only for fresh batteries but also on how accurate it is in detecting that a battery is nearing it's end of life. Do we have any test data's for Lead acid specifically that we can share?

Thanks!

Best Regards,

Alfred

  • Hi Alfred,

Yes, we do have an EOS function that enables tracking accuracy through the lifetime of the battery. While we do not have accumulated data, the gauge is capable of compensating for Peukert effect and tracks this with the EOS algorithm. This is outlined in the detailed description chapter in the DS.
