Dear, Sir.

My customer is considering to change the operation mode from resistor mode to external clock sync mode.

So, I would like to make sure following. Please give your advice.

1. The clock frequency is defined from 200kHz to 2.3MHz.

Is there any frequency setting limitaion for both resistor mode & external clock sync mode under

this kind of usage?

Sakai,
No limitation if you change resistor mode to external clock sync mode. For external clock sync mode, also can support 200k to 2.3MHZ.

Dear, Jason-san.

Thank you so much for all of your teaching.
I would like to confirm following matter, Please give your advice.
1. Does it mean the external sync signal will be monitored during 5us(200kHz)
after every switching under resistor mode?
2. I wonder resistor mode switching will be continued until the PLL lock
for the external sync signal even if faster or slower than resistor mode
switching?

1. No, IC detects the external CLK amplitude, when Rosc pin voltage > 2V, IC will switch to Sync mode, see below datasheet of page 23.

2. No, the resistor mode will not continue when switch to sync mode.
