TPS659039-Q1: why the module is always power down mode?

Part Number: TPS659039-Q1

Hi,

We using TPS659039-Q1 regulator for our design. the board is now powered up. we are enable all the regulator, and the all power rails are good. but PMIC we can't able to power up because the PMIC reset is always in 0v only. we gave direct 3.3v to reset but, at staring while we switched on the power that time only (5 sec) only PMIC give the output. after 5 sec again the PMIC has going to reset mode. that time PMIC was not giving output.

Please give the suggestion for this. thank you.

  • Hello,

I have a few follow-up questions for you. Are you referring to RESET_IN or RESET_OUT? The RESET_IN pin should not be 0V since it is a gating condition that will prevent the PMIC from turning on. If RESET_OUT is low then you should verify you are using the correct on request, and that the VCC1, VRTC, and INT pin are stable.

Lastly when you say that the PMIC only gives an output for around 5 seconds is this for all of the rails or just some of them?

    Thank you,

    Jadyn
