Hello,

I have made an xls file to compute the charging compensation as describe in the app note #SLUA750

I do same computation for our 4 Cells battery. (xls file enclosed)BQ40z60 charging compensation calculation.xls

My result are :

set the data flash Voltage (cell based) to	4052
set the voltage resolution to	32
set the voltage register to	245

Could you check and validate the change ?

Is this the only change to do ? (3 new values in data flash register)

That appears to be correct. However, our advise is to please try the settings on a sample pack before you go into production.

Where are the register that are specify in the App note ?
I found Voltage resolution set to 32
but
What is data flash Voltage ? there is a lot of voltage in data flash
What is voltage register (need to be set at 245) ?

Hi Gilles,

Data flash voltage refers to the 4 voltages in advanced charge algorithm, in subclasses low temp charging, standard temp charging, high temp charging and rec temp charging.

There is no voltage register that needs to be set at 245. You are talking about voltage resolution.

You need to set minimum output voltage, voltage resolution, and charging voltage in the above mentioned subclasses.
