UCC28742: Why is the DRV source current so low? Will it lead to high swtiching loss ?

Customer is looking for a high efficiency aux solution(<30W), and used UCC28C45 before. I recommend UCC28742 now, but they are confused that the DRV source current for UCC28742 is 30mA , while 1A for UCC28C45. Will the swithing loss be very high for UCC28742 with such a low driving current for the high voltage mosfet?

UCC28742 operates in DCM valley switching so 30mA driving current is sufficient for up to 80kHz switching frequency and over 100W applications, particularly for ac off-line area.

UCC28C45 can be used for much higher switching frequency and CCM operation. CCM operation requires much higher driving current - that is why it has 1A driving current.
