BQ27220: low-cost gauge solution for non rechargeable batteries

hi,

we are working on a smoke detector and are looking for a guage for non-rechargeable Li-MnO2 battery.

Although the BQ35100 looks the only solution, due to the cost contrains we are considering using BQ27220 instead (and implement the EOS monitor in the host CPU).

sounds "doable"?
