LM5060: Maximum rating of OUTpin

My Customer has question.

Customers refer to the following documents.

Customer have a question about P22, Figure 27 in this document.
Although the Output drops to -3.25V, the maximum rating of the LM5060's OUT terminal is -0.3V.
Does the LM5060 not be damaged even if -3.25 V is applied?

Thanks for reaching out!

As mentioned in the notes under "6.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings" of LM5060 datasheet. Higher negative voltages can be acceptable if the current through the OUT pin is limited.

In the TI-Design http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tiduc41a/tiduc41a.pdf the resistor R1 in the OUT path (Figure 16) limits the current and it does not cause damage to LM5060.
